Boba, bubble, pearl … Call the tapioca balls found at the bottom what you want, the verdict is the same: Boba tea is fun to say, and drink!
Bubble tea was invented in Taiwan during the 1980s. We’ve been making Boba tea at our three Boulder Pekoe Sip House locations since our doors first opened in 2003.
SIP TIP: At Pekoe Sip House, you can add boba to your favorite cold drink, whatever that may be.
At Pekoe Sip House, we add tapioca pearls to a variety of refreshing iced drinks. A few of our favorites include:
- Chai Wallah Boba
- Forbidden Freeze Boba
- White Strawberry Boba
- Iced Sunny Green Boba
- Iced Vanilla Toddy Boba
- Green Buddha Boba
- Matcha Doshu Boba
FUN FACT: The straws to drink boba tea are bigger than normal iced tea straws so you can slurp up the tapioca pearls!
If you haven’t tried boba tea yet, be forewarned: Some say the tapioca pearls are an aquired taste due to their chewy texture. Others say you may get hooked after the first drink, insisting no other iced, blended, whipped or slushed drink will every be the same again.
